College is starting soon for me! I'm very excited! Sorry I haven't posted in a long time but I promise to post at least once per month, if I don't…I'll buy you all a nice mango.

It's good to set goals for yourself, I do that all the time whether it being on -losing weight or whatever, I try to set goals for myself so I can be happier and be successful. I am setting goals when I start college and that is to start eating LESS junk food. I lovveeeee junk food especially pizza and donuts. Don't get me wrong it tastes delicious but I need to stop eating it consistently because it negatively affects my body. So, I am trying to lean away towards it. How? Well I am going to only buy healthy foods at dining halls and at the grocery store. Occasionally I'll have a treat day but I'll do it every sunday (for now), then I can change it to be one sunday every two weeks, and so on. For breakfast, I'll buy the one with no artificial sugar and oatmeal, and some fruit too. I love fruit, but I need to start eating it more. I need to also stop eating fatty snacks and buy healthier ones. I hate how healthy food is expensive and junk food is so cheap. I wish it was the other way around but we can't have it our way. I think I might invest in Naturebox, because i looked on their site and they sell good food.

My Goals For College:

 -Eat Healthy
-Go to Class
-Study
-Exercise with my sister
- Do Homework/Projects
-Lose 15 pounds before 2015
-Lose a pants size (or more)

I hope you guys have a good school year for those who are starting college, high school, or middle school and all you with jobs or without! MAKE THE REST OF THE YEAR COUNT!!!

Obstacles to Jump


Hey guys,

April was a bad month, I ate horrible food. At the end of the month, I was tired of scrolling through instagram and twitter and tumblr, wishing I was those skinny models or people who exercised and ate healthy daily. I wanted to look like them, but I had to stop mopping around eating all the food I could absorb and do something!

I find some workout clothes and began with one blogilates video "Call Me Maybe Squats". I began the workout and although I gave in a couple of times, I finished the workout, ALIVE. I was proud that I finished it. The next day, I started packing healthy lunches, eating in moderation, and drinking more water. I told my mom to buy fruit and oatmeal and other super foods to keep my body healthy. After school and work, I would began my workout. I started with one exercise video per day, then I moved to two, and then three. I increased the amount of time I worked out and I started seeing progress. Not in my body but my ability to keep up with the instructor.

I got rid of the negative influences, and began to follow health blogs that would motivate me and build my confidence. I know I have a long road ahead of me, and hopefully I will succeed to the best of my ability.

Starting Strong.

Helloooo!!!! Okay so last month, I will admit, I was pigging out a lot. I chose the wrong choice and I am making up for eating wrong, not exercising as much, etc. So its March, and I am starting to excerise a lot before I take my showers. I am working out my obliques, abs, arms, and legs. I am focusing more on my arms cause according to my father I have "football arms". They're massive!!! So  I am trying to get rid of them before my senior prom or graduation. Losing it will help me feel A LOT better. I ended up not trying out for my soccer team, not because I wasn't training, but because the coach plays favorites and I would get benched every game. But, I decided to manage, I would go to every game, but I wouldn't have to go to any of the practices, so that's a plus! At least, in my head it is.

For school, I am trying to eat healthier by packing more fruits, intaking protein and veggies as well. But my mom is making it very difficult, because she keeps buying all this sugar, junk food and soda. She's forcing it down my throat because she "spent" money on it.

I'm considering to being vegan, only until I graduate, unless I like becoming a vegan, I'll keep going. I don't know, I haven't decided fully.

Fruits and Set Points.

Yummy.

I have been trying to eat more fruits, but today I couldn't resist when they said "we are ordering pizza". PIZZA EQUALS LIFE GUYS. Anyways, I pigged out today, but I drank more water over the past week, and I feel like I am losing a bit of weights with just eating right and occasionally pigging out. I added more greens to my diet such as kale and spinach. I blended some smoothies and drinks to replace some snack cravings and lunch which I will say helped a lot. I am slowly stepping away from chips and candy. I don't really drink soda anymore I stick to water, and lemonade and I am trying to lean off of juice because that has a lot of sugars in it.

On my instagram and twitter, I post what I have been eating, for instance I made a fruit platter with strawberries, mango, blueberries, raspberries and oranges and can I say, making something that looks delicious will make you want to eat your creation. I have been making good-looking fruit bowls and I just want to eat it again. I am trying to get into the habit of eating good foods for my body and lean away from the carbs and sugars.

Today in Psychology, I am learning about like weight, hunger, blah blah blah. I learned about a set point that your body has. "A set point is a theory that states everyone's body has a genetically determined range of weight and temperature that their body will try to maintain to stay at optimal health. This means if Susan has a weight set point of 136 pounds, her body will try to stay around that weight. If she eats less and exercises more, her body's metabolism will slow down. If Susan eats more and exercises less, her body's metabolism will speed up. This does not mean Susan can't ever weigh over 145 pounds or under 120 pounds. It means that her body will attempt to compensate for Susan's eating habits in order to stay in that range. 

Proponents of this theory encourage individuals to stay at their body's set point and to accept it despite social pressures to be thin. They believe that the reason people have difficulty losing or gaining weight is because their weight goals are outside of their set point range.

Here I Am

Hello guys, I am back!

I have been MIA and I am sorry I didn't update for 10 DAYS!!!!!

I am going to start off where I left off. Guys, I am proud to say I lost 4 pounds!!!! I am so happy.  I am exercising more and dancing and eating healthier (kinda).  I am doing more arm workouts because I hate my arms. I have been doing Cassey's arm workout videos and they have been making my arms sore. I have also been dancing which works a lot of my muscles. I just turn my iTunes to shuffle and dance to the song that plays. It really has been helping me and I am sweating a lot.

I am trying to lean more towards healthier foods. I have been eating more oatmeal and fruits and yogurt. But today, I had some ice-cream and popcorn….Not proud of that. I am going to go on a junk food free  diet for a month. I have soccer tryouts and I haven't ran in about two weeks because it has been snowing crazy and I have no gym memberships :(. Inside blogilates for the win, haha.

Busy

Hello guys,

Well, I had a busy day. Woke up, went to school, came home, ate my dinner, went to work, came back,  took a shower, and finished my homework at 12:30 am. Blah.

I have just been real busy but, but when I am not doing anything, I  still be move around. For instance, If I am walking back to my car, I'll do weird dances or lunges! -ha! If I am talking to my friends in between classes, I stand on my toes and pulse. Anyways, it is a quick mini workout that could be a stepping stone for everyone who is trying to incorporate exercise into their daily lives.

IWorkout

Hello Friends,

I just finished working out, yes, I finally worked out. I did a couple Blogilates videos which I will link below because Cassey really pushed me today and you will love her!

By the way guys, I kinda pigged out today. I mean, we had no school, and yeah I was bad. I have to throw away all my junk food and keep it all clean. I don't want to tempt myself anymore.

Also guys, I really wanted to share this so people can relate and don't feel sorry for me: My family thinks I am fat. I am fat. But,  all the negativity can get to me sometimes which is the main reason I eat A LOT. I eat because I am stressed out sometimes, but also because I get sad. But, I realized that, their opinions towards me don't matter. Yes, it hurt me before and it still kinda hurts me today, but now I am motivated to become healthier and eventually I will become fitter and I will look better in jeans then my family. I will be stronger than them, healthier than them, and I will succeed. So, what I am trying to say here is that, don't surround yourself with people who are negative about what you are trying to do and accomplish. If you wanna be vegan, DO IT. If you wanna be a vegetarian, I SUPPORT YOU. If friends don't support your decisions, don't let them dictate your life, and if you don't like what they say, just ditch them. If its your family, ITS YOUR BODY. ITS YOUR MOUTH, you decide what foods you what to intake, but, make it healthy! Listen to yourself, because you know whats healthy, not them.

I hope that makes sense and I hope you become motivated to eating clean and working hard. THIS YEAR IS ABOUT YOU. You can do it.

WATURR

Hello Friends,

Today I started school again, and I was so dead. But, instead of resorting to coffee, I brought my handy dandy water bottle. I believe I drank a lot of water today. How? My pee was clear. TMI, I know but its the truth, no matter how disgusting may seem.

Alright lets recap:

Moving Forward

Hello friends,

So today was a better day for me, I drank more water whenever I "felt" hungry. I am going to start drinking more water everyday and try to take out sodas from my life. I a slowly leaning away from candy and sweets, but some days I might reward myself.

Breakfast:

-chewy bar

Lunch:

-Grilled Cheese
(white bread/american cheese)

Dinner:

Strawberries and blueberry yogurt.


I am also trying to intake smaller proportion and be moderate in what I eat. I saw this tip that if you eat slower than you usually eat, you body will tell you that it is full. So, I am going to try that throughout tomorrow and I will see how that goes.

Sleep also plays an important part with your body, and my sleeping schedule is completely out of sack because I have been on break and I am going to get  wake up call tomorrow we I have to wake up at 6:00 am. I have been falling asleep around 4 or 5 am, so this should be interesting.

Things I need to do:

Work

Hello Friends,

So today was just a tiring day, I swear, I think the holidays got to me. I am just a fat blob that works and sleeps.  Meh, anyways….

For breakfast, I had Wegman's Cinnamon Squares Cereal, it was yummy. However, It wasn't the healthiest choice I should have picked. But, I didn't have any OATMEAL! and I love me some oatmeal.

For lunch, I had a Club Royale from Jason's Deli..and as delicious as it was, it wasn't the smartest choice I could have made. Needless to say, I will now on stick to the salad bar there.


I drank a lot of water today, so I am proud of that. Pat on the back for Alexis and anyone else who drank water today! 

Also, I found this fashion youtuber today on Youtube, and her name is Jenn Im. I saw her video "How I Lost 10 Pounds, and was very inspired by it. She was saying to remix my meals, take pictures of my meals (which I do now), drink more water, add more healthier food and fiber to my meals, workout, and cut out the carbs. Whoever is reading this now, don't give up, I know that sounds cliché, but you can do it! I have faith in you, have faith in yourself that you can make these changes. For me it's hard, but I know I am changing for a better me, a happier me. I want to feel happier looking in the mirror. I want to actually feel more comfortable in my skin. I don't want to look like girls in magazines, any other person. I want to have own my body but make it healthier, and with more health conscious changes, I believe I can do it. ANYONE CAN DO IT! YOU CAN DO IT! If you believe, you can achieve, and you will succeed.

Snow

You know that feeling where you don't wanna do anything, well that was me today. I did not run or do my Blogilates workout or even do my homework. I woke up, ate, went to work, then came home, and now I am typing this.

PLUSSSS, it is SNOWING HERE! It rarely snows where I live and I am so happy.

- Basically my breakfast was my lunch because I woke up at 2.

A slice of Jason's Deli Carrot Cake ( It looked so good, I had to eat it.)

Sleepy Head

Well, I planned to go running, but I woke up at 2! SLEEPY HEAD! That is so late for me. But I assure you, I am going tomorrow because I really need to start running. Also, I forgot I have to work today at 4, blah!

Plus, I need to start doing my homework. Winter break is almost over and I procrastinated on all my assignments. So, I am trying to incorporate Blogilates after work and my homework. We will see how this goes….I am hoping I can finish work ON TIME( because they also keep me after I am scheduled to end) then drive home and workout then do my homework. Sounds good to me, I just hope everything falls into place.

But If I am running, and I am VERY VERY LAZY, then you guys gotta start running to keep your body's in shape.

Subway?

So I was thinking about Jared Fogle, aka Subway Guy. He lost weight just by eating Subway (You can look here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jared_Fogle) . I was tempted to do the same thing, but I am not trying to spend all my money on Subway.

Anywho… Guys…I bought a pair of running shoes! Considering I have been playing soccer since I was five, you would think I would have running shoes, but you are wrong, I just used my indoor shoes to run. It was dumb, but I was too cheap to pay for running shoes. But, now I got some! The ones I got look like watermelons! I am going to use them tomorrow. My goal tomorrow is to run 2 miles: to my calculations is 8 laps around the track, and some of you might be like "wow, that's so little", well I am out of shape and I need to start with a little then increase the amount of laps.

These shoes have good flexibility and good foot support.
Did I mention, soccer tryouts are in a month and a half and I haven't touched a soccer ball since last spring… yeah..I am so out of shape, haha.

Here are my goals tomorrow:
-Run 2 miles
-Do Blogilates arms,abs, butt
and legs
-drink 8 cups of water
-eat fruits and veggies

Starting off easy.. I will see how this goes tomorrow. And for those who don't know what "blogilates" is, Cassey Ho runs it. It is her Youtube channel for cardio workouts and healthy food.

Day 1: Healthy Journey

Today is January 1st, 2014, and I am starting this healthy blog. I want to feel happier about myself and my body. I plan to eat healthy and exercise. I am going to blog everyday and post pictures of everything of my healthier journey.
A little bit about myself: I weigh about 150, and i’m 5’5, basically I am a blob. I am trying to lose a lot of weigh whilst gaining muscle. I love food, and so this is the ultimate struggle. 
When I woke up, I started of with a simple breakfast:
-peanut butter and bananas on wheat bread. 
Lunch:
-chobani yogurt (first time eating it and it was delish!)
Dinner:
-chicken and green beans
-cucumber/tomatoes 
-2 slices of garlic toast (it was so good, but I know it is very greasy and fatty)
I am trying to get more greens and fruit into my system, and I also want to do a juice cleanse atleast two times a week for the whole day.
